Hot water for commercial buildings and industry

Hot water where it is needed, rather than one large tank and a hundred metres of circulation pipe. For washbasins in warehouses, shower facilities and commercial kitchens.

The problem with one tank for the whole building

In a commercial building, the tank may be in the plant room and the washbasin at the other end of the building. Either a circulation pump runs around the clock to deliver hot water, or cold water runs for 30 seconds whenever someone washes their hands. Both cost money.

Clage calculates that 15 metres of pipe wastes almost 5 litres of water each time the tap is used. A COAX heater at each outlet removes the long pipe run and the wait.

    What the regulations require

Workplace regulations require hot and cold water for handwashing in changing rooms, washrooms and toilet facilities. For food businesses, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority requires hot water for handwashing and enough capacity for the business to operate. Small heaters at each outlet can meet these needs without rebuilding the whole system.

    Larger shower facilities

A shower facility using 72 litres per minute needs around 75 kW. We connect several 24 kW heaters in parallel and size the system with your plumber and electrician.

Commercial buildings usually have a 400 V supply and a main fuse rated at least 63 A, so the electrical supply is rarely the problem. The capacity charge in the grid tariff can be. We calculate it before recommending a system.
