    Privacy and cookies

Here you can read how we handle personal data and use cookies. You can also change your consent.

    1. Choose how we may use cookies

You control which data we may collect. The panels below explain the difference between necessary and optional cookies, and let you change or reset your consent at any time.

    Manage consent

    No choice made yet

Used to understand how visitors use the site. Data is anonymised automatically. Read more

    Necessary cookies

    Always enabled

These cookies are necessary for the website to work properly. They provide basic functions such as navigation, security and accessibility.

They cannot be turned off because they are essential under the Electronic Communications Act § 3-15.

Stripe also sets necessary cookies during checkout. These are described in section 3.

    Analytics and statistics cookies

    Optional consent

Used to understand how visitors use the website. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data such as pages visited, duration and device type.

These are activated only if you give consent via the cookie banner.

    2. How we use Google Analytics 4

We use Firebase Analytics, which connects our site to Google Analytics 4. Here is what we collect, how it is stored and what rights you have.

    Data we collect

    Only with active consent

    • Which pages are visited
    • Time of visit
    • Interactions on the page
    • Device type, browser and operating system
    • Anonymised IP address (masked automatically in GA4)

    Legal basis

The analytics tool is used only if you have given consent in the cookie banner. This is in line with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the Electronic Communications Act § 3-15.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the controls above.

    Storage and transfer

Data is stored in Google Analytics for 2 or 14 months, depending on our settings. Firebase also stores an anonymous installation ID in the browser's local storage (IndexedDB) to distinguish devices. This is removed when you delete site data for coax.no.

Google may process data in the EU and, in some cases, in the United States. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

    Withdrawing consent

When you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics will stop collecting data from your visit. Use the buttons above to change your choice at any time.

    3. Stripe and payment processing

When you complete a purchase on coax.no, the payment is processed by Stripe. Here is what is shared, why, and how long it is stored.

    Data that is shared

Data needed to complete a purchase

When you place an order, we share the following with Stripe:

    • Name and email address
    • Delivery and billing address
    • Order total and product information
    • IP address (used by Stripe for fraud prevention)

Your card details are sent directly from your browser to Stripe on a secure page hosted by stripe.com. Card numbers and CVC never pass through our servers.

    Legal basis

The processing is necessary in order to fulfil the purchase agreement between you and Coax AS, cf. the Personal Data Act article 6 (1) (b) (performance of a contract).

For fraud prevention, Stripe processes certain information on the basis of legitimate interest, cf. article 6 (1) (f).

    Storage and transfer

    Up to 5 years

Payment and order information is stored for up to 5 years in accordance with section 13 of the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.

Stripe is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and may transfer data to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCC), included in Stripe's data processing agreement (DPA).

We have entered into a data processing agreement with Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), which is Stripe's European entity.
